What do you do for a living?

Owner, Quarter Mile Communications. QMC is a strategic marketing firm specializing in the automotive aftermarket.

What other cars do you own now, and have you significantly modified any of them?

I am a freak when it comes to cars. Nothing stays stock for long. Other than the WRX, I own an old school Honda Accord that I use as a commuter car and a 1997 E36 BMW that has been completely reworked by Dinan.

What is your single favorite feature or part of the car?

Other than the overall performance which is a combination of all the features, I would have to say the aerodynamics. We are running one of two Gram Lights body kits in the United States. The craftsmanship is incredible and it is race proven rather than just for looks.

What's next for the WRX?

I would love to say that it's done, but as you know cars are never done. We have a few minor engine mods to make but will mostly likely focus on the tranny. Leaning towards a custom built 6-speed but we'll see.

Would you do it all over again?

Absolutely! The past year has been an absolute blast. We have enjoyed great success with the car and have met so many amazing people. I can't wait till next season.

How often do you drive the WRX?

As often as possible! I appreciate the quality and time put into pure show cars that have to be brought to events on trailers, but I would never build a car that I couldn't drive.

What's the funniest thing someone has ever asked you about your car?

"Is that there one of them new Honda cars?" I just assumed he forgot to take his medication.

What is the next car you want to purchase?

There are so many amazing cars coming out it's hard to say. I am always looking for a clean Porsche 914-6, Datsun 510 or BMW 2002tii. Those things are just so damn fun to drive. Although at 6'8", it is challenging for me to fit in them.

Have you run the 1/4 mile? Has the car ever been on a road course?

We have run the 1/4 on past setups but never run with our current setup. It really hasn't been our focus as the car was built for road course racing.

As for road courses, not as much as I would like, but yes. It's near impossible to race a car and keep it in show-winning condition.

Where do you see yourself and this car in the coming years?

We will be making a decision in February, but as it stands we will either convert the car to a full race setup or replace it with a new project car. If the latter happens, the car will most likely be sold. As for me, I will be knee deep in another project. Whether it's racing or showing only time will tell.
