Yes, after a weekend road trip in the stock XB, the engine was broken in and UMS Tuning immediately went to work developing a turbo kit. Using a Turbonetics turbocharger, manifold, Spearco intercooler and custom intercooler piping from UMS, the Scion's 2.4L engine made an impressive 292hp and 285ft/lbs of torque on 91 pump gas. With that much power I guess that's why you need more pistons in your calipers than your engine has to stop? We used our massive KSport 8-piston big brake kit in the front and our 6-piston big brake kit in the rear, all function with the factory ABS brakes. Combined with the large Dunlop Sport Maxx tires, this Scion stops in a hurry. How long did it take to build? The entire buildup from showroom to show-ready was completed in under three months, largely due to the help from sponsors and hard work from over sixty people and approximately 400 hours of labor.
