1997 Honda Del Sol
Owner: Danny
Location: Oregon
This Orange Del Sol has to be one of the fastest around with 325hp at the wheels - plenty enough power to keep things interesting. We met up with Danny in Seattle a while back for a quick peek to see what makes this thing tick.
| What is your favorite part or feature of the car? | |
My favorite feature of my car is the orange color. It definitely makes the car stand out and grab people's attention.
| What other cars do you own now and have they been modified in any way? | |
I currently own a 1992 Civic hatch back that has a b20 bottom end and GSR head, which is my all-motor race car, and a 2001 Ford F-350 Supercab Powerstroke dually. The truck has been modified with an intake, 4" exhaust, and reprogrammed ecu. It's a beast on wheels and will give most imports a run for the money at stop lights.
| What do you do for a living? | |
I'm currently getting ready to open up my own import shop, Pac-West Motorsports in Salem, OR. I'm thankful to be involved with imports because it's what I love to do.
| Where do you see yourself and this car in the coming year(s)? | |
I see myself successful in the years in the import industry whether it be local or national. I hope to travel across the U.S. and attend other car shows around the country to see what they have to offer. I also want to see the different styles and cultures of the East Coast shows.
| What's next for the del Sol? | |
It's finally getting is full I.C.E. system in the car. And I hope to add lamborghini style scissor doors soon.
| Would you do it all over again? | |
I wouldn't have done it any other way than how I started it with the Del Sol. I'll continue to modify whatever vehicles I own because it helps me express who I am.
| What's the funniest thing someone has ever asked you about your car? | |
I think the funniest thing that anyone has asked, and I get a lot of this, is if this car was featured in the movie "The Fast and the Furious".
| What is the next car you would like to purchase/own? | |
I'm not sure what my next vehicle purchase will be, but I know it will be another import.
