Could BMW stand for Baller Monstrous Wheels? In the case of J.J. Simkoputera's 2004 BMW 530i which rolls on 20" HREs, this acronym certainly fits the bill.

Showing the stock brakes behind rims that large and bling would be a shame, but J.J.'s got that covered by running a full Brembo big brake kit all around, with massive 15" rotors up front and 13.6" in the rear.

If the wheels and the brakes weren't enough to make you do a double-take, the full AC Schnitzer body work or interior and ICE certainly will.

  Question & Answer

You've outfitted the car with a lot of AC Schnitzer (ACS) components. Any reason in particular you went all ACS?

When I purchased this car last April, I was planning on attending an upcoming show. ACS just came out with their kit for the E60, so it was good timing to go all out with ACS. I get a lot of praise from people when they see my car, so ACS was definitely the right look to go after.

The HREs and the 4 wheel Brembo big brake kit look mean. Any problems getting the 20" rims to fit?

The ride with 20" wasn't a problem at all. It was just a matter of getting the right offset and tire profile to fit into the car, so that there wouldn't be any problems with rubbing. The right choice made the ride comfortable with aggresive looks. The Brembo 4 wheel big brake kit was definitely a good combination with the 20" HRE 545R's. It changed the whole appearance once the Brembos went on, making the car look that much more aggressive and meaner.

Is this your daily driver? If not, what else do you drive?

This is my daily drive believe it or not...

Were you considering other cars when you bought this Bimmer?

When I sold my old 540i, the new 5 series just came out. I considered buying the new 6 series, but the wait time was too long. At first I kind of regretted buying the new 5 series, but after I put all the mods in, I take it back. It's all good now.

A 5-series is already pretty nice, and even more so when modified as much as you've done to yours, but what dream car would you like to have?

I am sure everyone has their own dream car and when you talk about dream car, the first thing that comes to mind are exotic cars, no doubt. My dream car is probably a Lamborghini Murciélago or the new Ferrari F430.

Any other mods that you plan for the car?

Under the hood: I am hoping to put a supercharger, air intake, strut bar, and carbon fiber engine covers. For the interior, I am getting the two-tone leather (black & red) and black suede. I think that's it since my car is mostly done except for the engine and leather wise. Other than that, it's good to go...I think. Comments are definitely welcome.
