World of Wheels is a car show that has several events located around the United States and even a couple in Canada. They have mostly American cars but there are also a few imports mixed in to round things out. There are always cool theme cars and this time my favorites were the Lightning McQueen full-size model from the movie "Cars", Vampyre, The Blown Grape and Dragzilla. Probably the meanest, and certainly one of the nicest cars I saw, was a 1961 Chevy Impala built by Jim Faulkner. With a huge V8 pushing approximately 1000hp, this was not your grandma's grocery getter, and it was super clean.

Celebrities also make appearances at most, if not all, of the WOW events. I arrived a little late on the last day of the show and snapped a couple shots of Pixie from the TV show LA Ink. This event also had the Cardinals Cheerleaders and Vinnie from Orange County Choppers, unfortunatly I wasn't able to get there to see them during their scheduled times.

Check out the high-resolution photo gallery below. The lighting in the University of Phoenix stadium, the site of the upcoming 2008 NFL Superbowl, is pretty good. Combine the lighting with a good camera, a badass photographer and some customized cars and you have a winning combination (OK, just giving myself a brownie button). Seriously though, the gallery, along with the entire site, is FREE. Just create your FREE account by registering your basic info. Enjoy!
