VIP Auto Fashion is a new show conceived by Vision Entertainment, the creators of Hot Import Nights. Its format is based on a trend that is relatively new to the U.S. called "VIP" which is a style that reflects elegance and wealth since they are predominantly modified luxury or exotic vehicles. VIP started in Japan and it's sort of a cross between the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and DUB (for lack of a better comparison). VIP cars are CLEAN and generally cost big bucks because they aren't just your average Honda Civic. There's nothing average about a Ferrari Enzo, Saleen S7 (0-60 in under 3 seconds!), Rolls Royce Phantom, or an AMG customized Mercedes Benz. This last sentence alone is worth over $1.5 million. Only ballers need apply.
One of the most unique things on display at the show was the $1,000,000 set of diamond-encrusted Asanti wheels which came with a "free" Bentley GT. With over 12,000 diamonds and 800 sapphires totaling 1,100 carats of precious stones, each wheel painstakingly set by renowned jeweler Icelink, you better not valet park this one unless you want to do some serious explaining to your insurance agent! These were the same wheels that debuted at SEMA a few weeks ago and I'm still saving up for my set (40 years from now I think I'll have enough to buy 1 wheel!). There was also a fashion show hosted by Genesis Parker which was intended to put the "fashion" in Auto Fashion. You'll either love the styles or hate them.
Overall there was a great turnout and there were millions of dollars worth of some of the finest cars around. I'm not sure how many shows they will be hosting next year, but you can bet there will be more to come.
