Moving on to the second day of our coverage we enter the Center Hall which is home to most of the performance companies and parts exhibitors during SEMA. Included in this huge room are hundreds of exhibitors showing their latest in high-performance engines, components, restoration parts, suspension systems, and even tools. This is where you will find some of the most amazing cars at the show since this is the hall that has the big guns like GM, Ford, Honda, Edelbrock, Eibach, Greddy, MSD, Brembo and many, many more.
There were also more models including: KT So, Ursula Mayes, Aiko Tanaka, Abbie Ratay and Sara Brinsfield.
As I mentioned in Day 1, there are several images in this gallery that are part of the South Hall. All of the outdoor images you'll see were on the sidewalk patio outside the Center Hall or in the lot across from it. There are so many vehicles at SEMA that they don't even fit in the buildings!
One of many special events at SEMA included a live judging, by the NCCA, of 3 Scion Xa's which were custom built by 3 car teams competing for trophies and other prizes. The judging lasted for a little over an hour and Team Hybrid won in the end with their gold Xa. All 3 of the contestants won a free Scion car of their choice and the top team also received all an all expense paid trip to Hot Import Nights Honolulu in December. Not too shabby!
Later that night we attended a high-profile event for CEC (Claus Ettensberger Corporation) which is the top European car customizer and distributor in the U.S. There were no expenses spared in this party at the Bali Hai Country Club located at the South end of the Las Vegas Strip. While hundreds of VIP's watched, exotic cars drove one by one onto the "stage" displaying the latest in parts from Strut, Brabus, AC Schnitzer and more. Think of it as a fashion show for cars complete with an audio commentary about the "clothes" you'll be seeing available for these cars now and during the next few months. When I win the lottery I'll definitely be giving these guys a call!
