A record crowd met at the 2007 HIN Nightshift Event at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, AZ. They all came to see what Hot Import Nights had to offer in the desert. A packed venue and great weather, despite inaccurate windy forecasts, helped make this one for the HIN history books.
Thousands of people were definitely not disappointed. More than 200 cars were at the show for people to wander around and see. UTI (Universal Technical Institute) had their spark plug challenge for a $100 cash prize to the winner with the fastest time. There was also the Mazda Challenge where people could test drive the Mazda3 while getting pointers from Skip Barber Racing School staff. Some even got a chance to ride in the passenger seat with their professional drivers who pushed the cars to their absolute limits. Attendees to the show also had a chance to see a Dunlop Drift Expo and a Street Bike Expo with Kane Friesen (AKA KANEONE). If you wanted to see some big air, Boost Mobile's Nightshift had that too. Boost Mobile brought out 3 riders for some crazy trailer-jumping Freestyle MX action similar to what you'd see at an X-Games event.
Of course we can't forget about the gorgeous models who joined in the festivities. Some of the models who were in attendance included KT-So, Talia Sundseth, Nikita Esco, Jenny Chu, Amanda Gift, Corissa Furr, Natalia Marie, Tracy Nova, Jae Angel, Bahara, Ashley Sarto and Ursula Mayes. With so many models in attendance, HIN also held their annual Go-Go dance competition and the Miss HIN 2007 bikini search.
If that wasn't enough for you, there were also several performances on the Mazda Main Stage. Mr. Pop-lock and drop it, Huey, performed for the crowd in addition to several local dance groups, including: br0k3nt0yz, motiontheory and femaleprophecy.
Overall, it was a great weekend for everyone. So much to see and do, a person had to be there all day just to be able to experience the full potential that HIN provided for the event.
