Hot Import Nights made it back to North Carolina in a new form called Nightshift this year. Concord, NC was the perfect backdrop for this event and brought out some of the nicest cars and trucks on the East Coast. Cars from Team Emotion and New Image Motors were some of the best there. I enjoyed seeing those cars up close and personal. The creativity of some of the competitors was incredible.
Boost Mobile Nightshift was definitely a "hot" experience in all aspects. Saturday brought out the hot cars, the hot models, and definitely the hot and humid weather. Although hot, the weather did not stop the huge crowd of spectators from coming to the event. The drifting demo featuring some of the local drifters and the Boost Freestyle MX shows entertained the crowds throughout the night. The Valvoline Challenge allowed competitors to gain bragging rights and prove they had some "GO" with their "SHOW".
Beautiful models were in every spot around the event. You couldn't turn around without running into one. Models represented many of the popular vendors throughout the show, as well as some of the big car groups that entered the event. The NOS Model Central tent was the spot to find many of the models featured on the main stage. They were there to sign autographs and take pictures with all of their loving fans. NOS also had some of their models passing out free samples of NOS energy drinks to help quench the thirst out in the July heat.
DJ John Magic and DJ Hustle-Lin kept the crowd singing and dancing throughout the afternoon. HIN and Nightshift wouldn't be the same without the music. Unlike your typical hip hop performance, the night ended with a band called Halfway to Hazard (aka H2H), which added something different to the event. The band had a great crowd response to their original songs and covers. It was a great way to end the night before awards.
