FOCUS...That's the word that came to mind when I stepped into the Bayside Expo Center. My first Hot Import Nights show - and as a HINcity.com contributor to boot!
As I passed through the security check I noticed a light hint of NOS in the air... maybe it was just my imagination. As I moved through the show I realized this was unlike any car event I had been to - and it was GOOD.... no, GREAT. Wait, is that an earthquake I'm feeling? Thanks Boston Audio Design for just about bringing the roof down with the Escalade you brought along, I think one of my fillings fell out during that amazing audio display!
Hail to the hard working and beautiful women serving NOS Energy Drink, I don't think I could have made it through the night without them. The 2008 Naughty NOS girls Corissa Furr and Alicia Whitten couldn't have been more beautiful or friendly.
The Boost Mobile stage was kicking all night with giveaways, mic battles and dance... it was hard to pull myself away. Thank goodness I did or else I would have missed Carrie and Nate LaChance along with a few of their top models at the ArchEnemys booth. I don't think I've ever seen such high heels being worn by a woman that was standing before, you go girls! The RIX Magazine booth was kickin' it all night with a crowd so thick you'd have to just stand there or walk completely around - I chose to stick around for a while, time well spent.
After eight hours I saw the night come to a conclusion shortly after the trophies were handed out. I'd been thinking of attending this event for years and finally made it, now lookout HIN, you've got yourself a new regular attendee. There's no other show like it.
