The HIN 2008 season has officially begun! Inside there were MC Battles and a B-Boy contest on the boostmobile Urban Stage. This year's new larger boostmobile stage has some very colorful lighting and it really improves the look and feel of the performances. Last season the only bar on site was in the VIP backstage area of the boostmobile stage. This year there is a boostmobile tour bus that has been converted to a rolling VIP lounge complete with plasma TVs, neon lighting and a full bar. If you want to get in you'll have to visit the boostmobile displays at the events in order to get a chance to obtain a special wristband to get into the bus (naturally you must also be 21 or over to get on the bus).

Throughout the San Mateo Expo Center, there were hundreds of some of the finest cars, trucks and motorcycles the West Coast had to offer. Bianca Smith was introduced as Miss HIN 2008 at the show just before the start of The Search for Miss HIN 2009 contest. The NOS Energy Drinks Model Central area was packed with models. There were also several fashion shows on the NOS runway hosted by Martin Capristan. Of course, many of the previous season's favorites were there as well, including KT-So, Pam Rodriguez, Christine Mendoza, Corissa Furr, Alicia Whitten, Pearl Nalani, Nikki Cash, Jenny Chu, Bahara and many more.

We are excited about the tour for HIN 2008 along with their other show "Nightshift". So far, there are 21 HIN/Nightshift events scheduled for this year and we have a long way to go. The next event is Hot Import Nights Los Angeles on March 22nd. It is typically the biggest show of the year and you don't want to miss it! If you can't make it in person, you know you will find a ton of high-quality photos after the event on Car and Model.
