An outdoor Hot Import Nights? You betcha, it happened this past weekend at the Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ. With a beautiful Fall afternoon setting in, the crowds began to line up at the entrance for Hot Import Night's first visit to to The Grand Canyon State. Mother Nature was kind enough to not scorch the living daylights out of people during the all-outdoor show with cool-for-Phoenix weather that even this Northern Californian could handle.
This HIN is a new format with the show running from 4-11pm, combining elements of the daytime Hot Import Daze with nighttime elements of HIN.
The entertainment on the Mazda Stage was headlined by TVT Records artist Pitbull (of "Culo" fame). Other stage entertainment included DJ Lady Tribe and Moonshine Record's DJ Miss Lisa, the HIN Glow-Go dancers, a go-go dance competition, and the Capistran Bikini Fashion show with bikini models showing off designs by swimwear designer Martin Capistran. Through it all, HIN's M.C. CB ONE held down the fort on the Mazda Stage and facilitated giving away freebies to the large crowd in between stage entertainment.
As much stage entertainment as there was, there was plenty of other entertainment outside of the stage. A top attraction as always was the Modified M Lounge where fans could catch a glimpse of their favorite model, take a photo, and buy autographed items. Models present included: Ursula Mayes (Miss HIN 2005), Maureen Hoang, Mia Guzman, Jeri Lee, and HIN Glow-Go Dancers Sasha Singleton, Christine Mendoza & Sunisa Kim.
