According to the CEA, the group that produces the Consumer Electronics Show, this is the largest annual trade show in North America and the largest consumer technology show in the world. After spending days walking endless miles through approximately 1.4 million square feet of convention space, bumping elbows with approximately 150,000 attendees, we have little doubt that this is true.
This is the event you attend if you are into anything on the cutting edge of electronics. Everything can be found here from computers, video cards, mp3 players, cell phones, musical instruments, car stereos, and even the world's largest plasma TV at 102 inches! Don't even ask what the price on that one is unless you are Bill Gates or The Donald.
In the mobile electronics section we found some of the hottest cars, trucks and models this side of the Mississippi. MTX had a massive prototype subwoofer they call the Jack Hammer. This thing is beefy, and we're told they are going to make them available to the public soon. Hopefully your vehicle has Lexan windows to take the punishment.
In the end, we wish there were a few more days to take in the entire event. There is just too much to see in only 4 days time. Until next year keep an eye out for new goodies and developments in the HUGE consumer electronics marketplace.
